Meet the Coaches

Flat Rock Warriors coaches have a years of experience in the cheer world whether it be cheering themselves or managing and coaching teams of all different skill levels. All of our coaches are volunteers and are passionate about the sport and about their role they have. Our coaches were interviewed, passed background checks, attended cheer coach camp, and obtain safety certifications in preparation to becoming a coach. We are proud to announce the coaches for the 2019 season!

Meet the Minor's Coaches

Minor's Team

Head Coach - Jennifer Cabaniss

Hey everyone! I'm Jennifer, and I'm the Head Coach of Minor Cheer. This is my second season coaching, and I'm so excited to build on last seasons success and welcome some new girls to our squad! If you're going to be new to Minors this year, I cannot wait to meet you! This is my families 9th season with the Warriors-my 14 year old son played football from flag-seniors, and my 8 year old daughter has been cheering since Kindergarten. I served as Secretary of Warriors Football from 2013-2018, so some of you may already know me from the football side of things. Sharing the love of cheer with these girls is so special to me. At the end of the season, I want them to be good Cheerleaders, and have great fundamentals, but also to make sure that they learn the more important lessons of working hard, dedication, and teamwork and how much fun cheering is! Also, I want everyone to respect their athleticism, because Cheering it the ultimate team sport!

Minor's Team

Assistant Coach - Crystal Fillman

Hello Warriors! My name is Crystal & I'm the tumbling coach for the Minors squad. This is my second season coaching. I absolutely fell in love with the sport & my girls last year & cant wait to have most of my girls back & to get to know all of our new minors families as we build on our groundbreaking season last year! This is my families 5th season cheering, as my 9 year old daughter Lily, started when she was in Kindergarten! You will find me cheering in the bleachers at the ice rink for hockey with our boys and my hubby, at the gym for Lilys gymnastics practices, or volunteering at the schools if I'm not on the field with my girls. My background is in preschool, gymnastics, & music. I'll be the one on the sidelines clapping or counting out cheers & keeping the girls on beat or on the field helping them work on their flexibility, jumps, and tumbling skills. I look forward to instilling the love of the sport into the girls, as well as a strong camaraderie and work ethic. Lily's cheer sisters have become some of her very best friends and watching the squad blossom into the incredible athletes they truly are throughout the season always has my cup running over with pride! I cannot wait to meet our new team and get the spirit flowing!
